Business Profile

Welcome To The Emporium. A truly intoxicating lifestyle experience. Half coffee shop, wine bar and brasserie; half interior design superstore. The Emporium is genuinely unlike anywhere you have seen or been before and its Parisian Grand Cafe style appeals to everyone.

Housed in an old Methodist Chapel, lavishly and lovingly converted to create three huge floors of eating, drinking and shopping, The Emporium is a haven from the mass production, hard sell ethos that has overtaken the rest of the world. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and that's the way we like it.

All three floors offer hidden gems you'll just HAVE to have, both on and off the menu.

"Lovely place"

"We entered, thinking it was an average cafe/wine bar...It was a busy sat afternoon and we couldn't believe how many floors there were! We eventually found a table on the top floor.. The surroundings were great, nice comfy mix of furniture and pictures/mirrors for sale were on display. We only had drinks, rose wine and coffees but the other customers around us all looked to be enjoying their food. Service was great with the waiter apologising for a delay as they were so busy- but we didn't think there had been any delay!! A really well set out place and we will return to try the food sometime soon."

"Excellent lunch and service - deserves it's popularity"

"Had an excellent lunch with friends when visiting Clitheroe. Very busy venue - justifiably popular. Service was excellent too. Can't wait to return - may make the 60 mile round trip just for one of their pizzas!"

"One of my favourites"

"The menu has something for everyone, no matter what you choose on their menu it is always cooked perfectly and tastes delicious. The deco and atmosphere is nice at any time of the day, during the day it has a more casual feel and more up market in the evenings. It's always my first port of call when I come home, and always the first place my friends and family think of for having a catch up or family meal. Really cannot fault this place. Everyone I have brought here that are from afar and just visiting absolutely love it.
Overall... Great service, great food and drinks, great atmosphere and deco."

"Lovely place for a bottle of wine and cheeseboard"

"Great venue, relaxing atmosphere, reasonably priced. If you enjoy wine then they have a large selection of wines."

"Great New Year Party"

"Had a great night at the Emporium to celebrate the New Year. Plenty of space around our table, very good food and entertainment pretty good although the DJ was a bit hit and miss. The very best thing about the whole evening was the staff. They worked very hard but to us they genuinely seemed to be enjoying their work and nothing was too much trouble. It does make all the difference."

"Excellent"

"Called in here Sunday evening hoping they would be able to fit us in. Despite being very busy with Christmas parties, they found us a lovely table on the top floor. The atmosphere around the whole place was brilliant. Lots of people enjoying themselves in lovely surroundings. All the décor is quirky yet cosy & homely. Food was beautiful, well cooked very tasty & served very promptly. All the staff were very friendly & helpful too. Will definitely return."
